New passenger terminal is built at Phu Bai international airport
The Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV) will source its development capital to build the T2 passenger terminal at Phu Bai international airport.
Located in the central coastal province of Thua Thien-Hue, Phu Bai airport is now facing the overwhelming status of visiting passenger, since 2017, the airport has been received 1.75 million passengers and now is still counting. As a result, a demand of new terminal is figured and the ideal of constructing a new terminal is approved by The Corporation and the provincial People’s Committee, the plan is to implement the project as part of the national transport development scheme.
Serving 5 million passengers per year is on expected if the new terminal’s opened. This project is supposed to be launched by December 2020 with 18 months construction.
